Racheal Schnarr

Certified Natural Nutritionist

Racheal graduated from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition and is now a Registered Holistic Nutritionist. She is also a graduate of the Community Herbalist program at Pacific Rim College and is currently working toward becoming a BCRPA certified Pilates instructor.

Emma is a Certified Nutritional Practitioner from West Vancouver. Emma attended the Institute of Holistic Nutrition and worked in the Nutrition industry for a few years before pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Food Nutrition and Health at The University of British Columbia.

What are the benefits of having a nutritionist?

During a nutritional counselling session, a nutritionist or dietitian can guide you in forming well-balanced eating habits by selecting foods that are nutritious and vital for your body. Doing so can prevent disease, and in turn, make you feel better.


Conversely, when you see a nutritionist, they can help you create long-term nutrition and lifestyle changes, ensuring you are well on your way to optimum nutrition for the rest of your life and not just for the rest of the month.


Furthermore, a nutritionist can provide you with the following information:


1) When is the optimum time to eat. This is hugely important for a number of reasons, not the least of which is healthy weight maintenance.


2) A meal schedule or meal plan can be designed specifically for you—geared towards your specific lifestyle, food preferences, budget, etc. Remember, lunch does not have to be eaten at noon and dinner at six.


3) You will get an extensive outline of portion sizes—something many people get wrong. Paying attention to how much you eat is often overlooked but incredibly important. Extra calories consumed at every meal add up fast and lead to weight gain, amongst other things.


4) A nutritionist or dietitian can even help you implement some meal prepping strategies designed to making the diet and lifestyle changes a little easier.

Many people live unhealthy lifestyles, which leaves them nutrient-deficient. Other people develop or inherit allergies or sensitivities to certain food groups. Eliminating these foods from your diet is key to avoiding any negative reaction or complication. Through nutritional therapy, you can get the nutrients you need with an appropriate diet plan and exercise regimen. Your nutritional therapy will differ depending on the end results you want. If you want to lose weight, your plan will include calorie control and exercise. If you want to gain weight, your plan will include ample calorie intake and less exercises that burn off calories.
